Q. How do I reference an internet article where there is no author mentioned in a Masters dissertation ?

I used the following as a footnote, but according to my supervisor, there is a way to reference the article in the bibliography and not as a footnote. http://www.historynet.com/world-war-ii

It would depend on the referencing system you use, for example Harvard or Vancouver.
Vancouver is usually the preferred referencing system in the medicine and health sciences, but if you are unsure, you should consult your supervisor.

You are welcome to see examples for the Vancouver and Harvard system.

You could also consult the Make sense of referencing e-book which covers Harvard, APA, Vancouver and the footnote system.  This resource is available from the E-Books on the library website and is published by the Stellenbosch University Language Centre.
