How do I access e-books on ExpertConsult via the library website?

I was previously able to access e-books on ExpertConsult via the library website; however, now I am only able to view the preview of these books (eg. Mandell's Principles and Practice of Infectious Diseases and Long's Principles and Practice of Paediatric Infectious Diseases).

Thank you for your question.

You can now access these books via the database ClinicalKey. As from 2014 the database which contained the ExpertConsult items, i.e. MD Consult, was replaced by ClinicalKey, which is a search engine and database of peer-reviewed and evidence-based clinical information covering 52 specialities. The content in ClinicalKey comes from Elsevier's online medical portfolio and includes, among other, over 1000 Elsevier medical and surgical reference books. You should find this a very helpful resource! It is listed under C on the E-databases pages on the library website.

I can also mention that these MD Consult textbooks are still available online from SUNSearch, the search box on the library website, but it will soon disappear from there, so better to access these e-books via the database ClinicalKey.

Please also take note that Paediatric  in the Longman title is spelt without the e so that it should read Principles and Practice of Pediatric Infectious Diseases. If you search otherwise, the system might well experience a problem to retrieve the title.

I hope this information is helpful.
