Answer

Certain materials in Special Collections may not be photocopied due to the nature and condition of the items.  Special Collections staff will indicate whether an item may be photocopied or not.  Patrons are however permitted to photograph pages of books and manuscripts they consult in Special Collections.

Their contact details as well as the hours of service in order to plan visit to the Special Collections section, are available at:  http://library.sun.ac.za/English/abouts/collections/sc/Pages/about.aspx
